Mattress core

The Maranga bed mattress welcomes you with a soft and firm embrace thanks to the unique layer-on-layer technology in its composition:
– 2 layers of extremely durable virgin cotton quilted fabric.
– 2 layers of hand crumpled J ponytail hair.
– 8 layers of cotton and wool.
– 1 pocket spring system, 13 cm high, with individually acting springs.
– 4 reinforced corner springs (covered with very soft linen), ensuring comfort and stability when you sit on the edge of the bed.
– Reinforced edge springs along all sides to prevent you from falling out of bed and make it easier to get up.
– Meticulously placed side seams enhance both stability and flexibility.

Comfort face

The base of the Maranga bed gives you extra support and a slightly firmer hold thanks to the Bonnell spring system included in its composition:
– 1 layer of extremely durable virgin cotton quilted fabric.
– 1 layer of cotton and wool.
– 1 Bonnell spring system, 8 cm high, with machine-twisted coil springs.
– 1 layer of linen that insulates from noise and keeps static electricity away.
– 1 frame in solid Swedish pine with finger joints, 9.2 cm high.
– 1 layer of cotton lining that protects the bed from below.

The highest ambitions set by Hästens in its beds are reflected in the manufacturing process. No cost is spared and no effort is spared in the pursuit of perfection. Hästens uses nature’s best materials: horsehair, wool, cotton and linen. These materials are assembled by hand using the unique layer-by-layer technique developed and perfected for over a century in the Hästens workshops.

Finishes

Choose the degree of firmness: soft, medium, firm or extra-firm.
Adjust the length and width with 0.5 cm increments (maximum size is 400 cm). For widths greater than 210 cm, the base will be divided in two. The Maranga is available in square, rectangular or round shapes.
